Target Information
Cytokeratin 18 (Keratin 18, KRT18, type I cytoskeletal 18)는 저분자량 케라틴의 산성(type A) 아형에 속하며, Cytokeratin 8과 함께 존재합니다. 위장관, 호흡기, 비뇨생식기, 내분비 및 외분비 조직, 중피세포 등에서 발현됩니다. 비편평상피세포 및 대부분의 선암종과 관암종에서 존재하며, 편평세포암에서는 발현되지 않습니다. 간세포암은 Cytokeratin 8과 18만을 발현합니다. KRT18 유전자 돌연변이는 특발성 간경변증과 관련이 있습니다. 두 가지 전사 변형체가 동일 단백질을 암호화하는 것으로 보고되었습니다. Cytokeratin 아형 발현 패턴은 다양한 상피성 악성종의 구분에 활용되며, 조직 절편의 면역조직화학적 진단뿐 아니라 세포병리학 및 유세포 분석에도 유용합니다.
