Product Specific Information

For reconstitution, add 100 µL of distilled water to obtain a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step using Zeba Spin Desalting Columns (7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).

Target Information

L1CAM (CD171) is an axonal glycoprotein belonging to the immunoglobulin supergene family.
Its ectodomain consists of multiple immunoglobulin-like and fibronectin type III domains, connected via a single transmembrane region to a conserved cytoplasmic domain.
L1CAM plays a crucial role in nervous system development, including neuronal migration and differentiation.
Mutations in the L1CAM gene are associated with X-linked neurological disorders collectively known as CRASH syndrome (corpus callosum hypoplasia, retardation, aphasia, spastic paraplegia, and hydrocephalus).
Alternative splicing of neuron-specific exons is thought to be functionally relevant.
