The monoclonal rat IgG1, kappa antibody is useful as an isotype control immunoglobulin.

• Applications Reported: Suitable for flow cytometric analysis.
• Applications Tested: Tested on mouse splenocytes; use at the same concentration as experimental antibody.
• Fluorochrome: eFluor® 450 (alternative to Pacific Blue®).
• Excitation/Emission: 405 nm / 445 nm (Violet laser).
• Filtration: 0.2 µm post-manufacturing filtered.

Target Information

Rat IgG1 is a subclass of immunoglobulin G (IgG) antibodies commonly used in research and diagnostics. These antibodies are produced by rats in response to antigens and can be purified from serum or hybridoma culture supernatants.
Rat IgG1 is often used as a negative control because it does not bind to most mammalian antigens. It is applicable in immunohistochemistry, flow cytometry, and western blotting for antigen detection.
Gene targeting with rat models enables investigation of gene functions and disease mechanisms through knockout or gene modification studies.
