1 µg/mL of MA5-27664 was sufficient for detection of Nav1.7 in 10 µg of HEK-293 cell lysate transiently expressing Nav1.7 by colorimetric immunoblot analysis using Goat anti-mouse IgG:HRP as the secondary antibody. Detects approximately 230 kDa. No cross-reactivity against other Nav channels.
Target Information
Epithelial sodium channels (ENaC) are amiloride-sensitive members of the Degenerin/epithelial sodium channel (Deg/ENaC) superfamily of ion channels. These channels share structural similarity with two short intracellular termini, two transmembrane segments, and a large extracellular loop with conserved cysteine-rich regions. ENaC isoforms (α, β, γ) are expressed in kidney, lung, and colon, playing key roles in sodium and fluid balance. They also mediate aldosterone-dependent sodium reabsorption in the distal nephron, regulating blood pressure. Mutations in ENaC subunits can cause hypertension (Liddle’s syndrome) or pseudohypoaldosteronism (PHA-1).
