Target Information
SIRT5는 Sirtuin(Sir2-like protein) 계열에 속하는 인간 단백질로, 원핵생물과 진핵생물 모두에서 발견됩니다. 모든 Sir2-like 단백질은 보존된 시퀀스 모티프를 포함하는 sirtuin core domain을 가지고 있습니다. 이들은 NAD를 대사하고 mono-ADP-ribosyltransferase로 작용할 수 있습니다. Sirtuin의 효소 기능은 완전히 규명되지 않았으나, NAD 의존적 탈아세틸화 및 히스톤 관련 대사 조절에 관여하는 것으로 알려져 있습니다.
