Product Specific Information
- Immunohistochemistry (PFA fixed): Incubate antibody for 30 minutes at room temperature (RT).
- Staining of formalin-fixed tissues requires heating sections in 10 mM Tris with 1 mM EDTA (pH 9.0) for 45 minutes at 95°C, followed by cooling at RT for 20 minutes.
Target Information
The protein encoded by this gene is a cytoplasmic enzyme involved in energy homeostasis. It catalyzes the reversible transfer of phosphate between ATP and creatine phosphate.
In brain and other tissues, it acts as a homodimer, while in heart it forms a heterodimer with a muscle isozyme.
This protein belongs to the ATP:guanido phosphotransferase family. A pseudogene of this gene has been characterized.
