Product Specific Information
- Immunohistochemistry (PFA fixed): Incubate antibody for 30 minutes at room temperature.
- Staining of formalin-fixed tissues requires heating tissue sections in 10 mM Tris with 1 mM EDTA (pH 9.0) for 45 minutes at 95°C, followed by cooling at room temperature for 20 minutes.
Target Information
The protein encoded by this gene is a cytoplasmic enzyme involved in energy homeostasis. It reversibly catalyzes the transfer of phosphate between ATP and phosphogens such as creatine phosphate. It acts as a homodimer in the brain and other tissues and as a heterodimer with a muscle isozyme in the heart. This protein belongs to the ATP:guanido phosphotransferase family. A pseudogene of this gene has been characterized.
