Product Specific Information
- Immunohistochemistry (PFA fixed): Incubate antibody for 30 min at room temperature.
- Staining of formalin-fixed tissues requires heating tissue sections in 10 mM Tris with 1 mM EDTA, pH 9.0, for 45 min at 95°C followed by cooling at room temperature for 20 min.
Target Information
The protein encoded by this gene is a cytoplasmic enzyme involved in energy homeostasis. It reversibly catalyzes the transfer of phosphate between ATP and phosphogens such as creatine phosphate. It acts as a homodimer in brain and other tissues, and as a heterodimer with a muscle isozyme in heart. The encoded protein belongs to the ATP:guanido phosphotransferase protein family. A pseudogene of this gene has been characterized.
