Target Information
SNAP25 is a t-SNARE protein involved in the molecular regulation of neurotransmitter release. It plays a role in synaptic function and associates with proteins involved in vesicle docking and membrane fusion. SNAP25 also regulates plasma membrane recycling through interaction with CENPF. Mutations in this gene can result in myasthenic syndrome.
