Product Specific Information
For reconstitution, add 100 µL of distilled water to achieve a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step using Zeba Spin Desalting Columns (7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).
Target Information
CD68 (Macrosialin) is a 110 kDa integral membrane glycoprotein predominantly expressed in lysosomes of monocytes and macrophages, and to a lesser extent in dendritic cells and granulocytes.
It plays a role in phagocytic activities of tissue macrophages, both in intracellular lysosomal metabolism and extracellular cell-cell and cell-pathogen interactions.
CD68 expression is observed in interdigitating reticulum cells of tonsil, histiocytic lymphoma, histiocytosis, AML, and granulocytic sarcoma. Elevated CD68 levels have been reported in CD34+ cells in various malignancies, including acute myeloid leukemia.
