Invitrogen™ ProcartaPlex™ Rat Th Complete Panel, 14plex

The ProcartaPlex Rat Th Complete Panel 14plex enables the study of T helper response by analyzing 14 protein targets in a single well using Luminex xMAP technology.
This panel is part of the Rat Cytokine & Chemokine Panel 22plex (Cat. No. EPX220-30122-901) and can be combined with other sub-panels or simplex assays corresponding to the targets in the 22-plex panel.

ProcartaPlex preconfigured panels are extensively tested for analyte combinability, interference, and cross-reactivity to ensure high validation and precision.
All ProcartaPlex panels are supplied with the necessary reagents to perform the assay.

ProcartaPlex multiplex panels are available across six species (human, mouse, rat, nonhuman primate, porcine, and canine).

About ProcartaPlex Assays for the Luminex Platform

ProcartaPlex immunoassays are based on the principles of a sandwich ELISA, using two highly specific antibodies binding to different epitopes of one protein to quantify multiple protein targets simultaneously using a Luminex instrument.
These multiplex assays require as little as 25 μL of plasma or serum, or 50 μL of cell culture supernatant, and results can be obtained in about four hours.

ProcartaPlex assays utilize Luminex xMAP (multianalyte profiling) technology for simultaneous detection and quantitation of up to 80 protein targets in a single sample.
Each bead in the assay is internally dyed with specific red and infrared fluorophores to create a unique spectral signature identifiable by Luminex systems (e.g., Luminex 200, FLEXMAP 3D, MAGPIX).

Similar to a sandwich ELISA, matched antibody pairs identify the protein of interest.
Each spectrally unique bead is labeled with antibodies specific for a single target protein, and bound proteins are detected using biotinylated antibodies and streptavidin–R-phycoerythrin (RPE).
This design allows for the analysis of multiple targets in a single well.

Unlike traditional ELISA, the capture antibody in the ProcartaPlex assay is conjugated to a bead rather than adsorbed to a microplate well, allowing free-floating reagents in solution.
Detection is achieved by dual-laser Luminex instruments—one laser identifies bead signatures, and the other quantifies RPE fluorescence proportional to protein concentration.
