The ProcartaPlex Human Apoptotic Cell Clearance Panel, 12plex enables the study of immune function by analyzing 12 protein targets in a single well using Luminex xMAP technology.
This panel allows simultaneous detection of soluble receptors and molecules involved in the recognition and removal of apoptotic cells by neighboring cells or phagocytes.

Apoptotic cell clearance is typically anti-inflammatory and immunologically silent; however, defects in apoptotic cell removal can be linked with autoimmunity and inflammation.
The panel is provided in a ready-to-use format with individual vials of capture and detection reagents formulated at 1X concentration, minimizing pipetting and setup time.
This panel is non-combinable with simplexes or other panels.

About ProcartaPlex Assays for the Luminex Platform

ProcartaPlex immunoassays are based on the sandwich ELISA principle, using two highly specific antibodies binding to different epitopes of one protein to quantitate all protein targets simultaneously with a Luminex instrument.

ProcartaPlex multiplex assays require as little as:

• 25 μL of plasma or serum, or
• 50 μL of cell culture supernatant

and deliver analyzed results in approximately 4 hours.

The Luminex beads are internally dyed with precise proportions of red and infrared fluorophores, creating spectrally unique signatures that can be identified by Luminex detection systems (e.g., Luminex 200, FLEXMAP 3D, MAGPIX).
Each bead is conjugated with antibodies specific to a single target protein, enabling simultaneous detection and quantitation of multiple analytes within a single well.

Advantages over ELISA

Unlike traditional ELISA where capture antibodies are adsorbed to a microplate, in ProcartaPlex assays the capture antibody is bead-conjugated and free-floating, improving reaction kinetics and multiplexing capacity.
Detection is achieved via streptavidin–R-phycoerythrin (RPE) fluorescence, quantified by dual-laser Luminex instruments.
