This antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum using an epitope-specific immunogen. The purity is greater than 95% as determined by SDS-PAGE.
Target Information
Fragile X syndrome is caused by the absence of the fragile X mental-retardation protein (FMRP). FMRP is a cytoplasmic mRNA-binding protein, part of a family that includes fragile X-related proteins FXR1 and FXR2. FXR1 and FXR2 contain a functional nucleolar-targeting signal similar to that found in HIV-1 regulatory proteins.
