For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to obtain a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step (e.g., Zeba Spin Desalting Columns, 7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).

Target Information

This gene encodes the coagulation factor XIII B subunit. Coagulation factor XIII is the last zymogen activated in the blood coagulation cascade. Plasma factor XIII is a heterotetramer composed of two A subunits and two B subunits. The A subunits have catalytic function, while the B subunits serve as plasma carrier molecules. Platelet factor XIII consists only of two A subunits identical to those of plasma origin. Upon activation by thrombin and calcium ions, plasma factor XIII dissociates its B subunits, yielding the active enzyme factor XIIIa, which acts as a transglutaminase to catalyze crosslinking between fibrin molecules, stabilizing the fibrin clot.
Factor XIII deficiency can result in a lifelong bleeding tendency, defective wound healing, and habitual abortion.
