Target Information

MET (c-MET) is a receptor-like tyrosine kinase implicated in various human malignancies. Upon ligand activation, MET interacts with PI3-kinase subunit PIK3R1, PLCG1, SRC, GRB2, and STAT3, activating signaling cascades such as RAS-ERK, PI3K-AKT, and PLCγ-PKC.
MET plays essential roles in embryonic development (gastrulation, muscle and neuron formation, angiogenesis, kidney development) and in adult processes including wound healing, organ regeneration, and tissue remodeling.
Aberrant MET signaling has been associated with cancers such as gastric, renal, and breast cancer, making it a key target for cancer therapeutics and diagnostics.
