Rat anti-Mouse CD115 antibody, clone 604B5 2E11, recognizes the murine CD115 cell surface antigen, also known as the M-CSF receptor and c-fms.

Target Information

CSF1R (FMS) is involved in the production, differentiation, and function of macrophages and is implicated in promyelocytic leukemias. Ligand binding activates the receptor kinase through oligomerization and transphosphorylation.
CSF1R is a tyrosine kinase transmembrane receptor and member of the CSF1/PDGF receptor family of tyrosine-protein kinases. Mutations in CSF1R are associated with a predisposition to myeloid malignancy.
It acts as a receptor for CSF1 and IL34, playing an essential role in regulating survival, proliferation, and differentiation of hematopoietic precursor cells, especially macrophages and monocytes. It promotes release of proinflammatory chemokines in response to IL34 and CSF1, contributing to innate immunity and inflammatory processes.
The first intron of the CSF1R gene contains a transcriptionally inactive ribosomal protein L7 processed pseudogene oriented in the opposite direction.
