Target Information
GOT1 (Glutamic-oxaloacetic transaminase 1) is a pyridoxal phosphate-dependent enzyme existing in cytoplasmic (GOT1) and mitochondrial (GOT2) forms. It plays a key role in amino acid metabolism and the urea and tricarboxylic acid cycles. Both forms are homodimeric and share high homology.
