Target Information
Essential component of an SCF-type E3 ligase complex, SCF(NIPA), which controls mitotic entry by mediating ubiquitination and degradation of cyclin B1 (CCNB1).
Cell-cycle-dependent phosphorylation regulates SCF(NIPA) assembly, restricting CCNB1 ubiquitination to interphase.
Inactivation leads to nuclear accumulation of CCNB1 and premature mitotic entry.
May play an antiapoptotic role in NPM-ALK-mediated signaling events.
