Product Specific Information
This antibody is predicted to react with non-human primate, mouse, and rat based on sequence homology.
Under non-reducing conditions, intact IgG appears as a ~150 kDa band; upon reduction, it generates ~25 kDa light chain and ~50 kDa heavy chain bands.
Recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies are produced using in vitro expression systems developed by cloning antibody DNA sequences from immunoreactive rabbits. Individual clones are screened to select optimal candidates for production.

Target Information
Metadherin (MTDH), also known as LYRIC, is a metastasis adhesion protein localized with tight junction proteins ZO-1 and occludin in polarized epithelial cells. It is recruited during tight junction maturation rather than serving as a structural component.
Metadherin is overexpressed in breast cancer tissues and xenografts, with lower levels in normal breast tissue. It binds to lung vasculature via a C-terminal extracellular domain segment. Blocking this lung-homing domain with antibodies or siRNA has been shown to inhibit breast cancer metastasis.
