Product Specific Information

  • Predicted to react with mouse based on sequence homology.
  • Intact IgG appears on a non-reducing gel as ~150 kDa band and upon reduction generates ~25 kDa light chain and ~50 kDa heavy chain bands.
  • Recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies are produced using in vitro expression systems. These systems clone antibody DNA sequences from immunoreactive rabbits and select optimal clones for production.
  • Advantages include:
    • Better specificity and sensitivity
    • Lot-to-lot consistency
    • Animal origin-free formulations
    • Broader immunoreactivity due to larger rabbit immune repertoire

Target Information

The PITX3 gene encodes a member of the RIEG/PITX homeobox family, belonging to the bicoid class of homeodomain proteins. Members act as transcription factors and are involved in lens formation during eye development. Mutations are associated with anterior segment mesenchymal dysgenesis and congenital cataracts.
