The eBio4B10 monoclonal antibody reacts with mouse, rhesus monkey, and human T-bet.
T-bet is a Th1-specific T-box transcription factor critical for Th1 CD4+ T cell lineage development.
T-bet expression is induced by IFN-γ and regulates its own expression as well as IL-12Rβ and IL-2.
It also plays a role in class-switch recombination in B cells.

• Applications Tested: Tested with human peripheral blood cells using Foxp3/Transcription Factor Staining Buffer Set (Product #00-5523-00).

Target Information

T-bet (TBX21) is a T-cell-specific transcription factor with a T-box DNA-binding domain that controls IFN-γ expression.
It regulates Th1 and Th17 lineage differentiation and cooperates with Stat4 to program chromatin architecture for Th1 gene expression.
Genetic variations in T-bet are associated with susceptibility to aspirin-induced asthma and nasal polyps.
