For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to achieve a final antibody concentration of about 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments using this carrier-free antibody, perform an additional round of desalting (Zeba Spin Desalting Columns, 7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).

Target Information

TNF alpha is a multifunctional proinflammatory cytokine belonging to the tumor necrosis factor (TNF) superfamily. It is primarily secreted by macrophages and binds to receptors TNFRSF1A/TNFR1 and TNFRSF1B/TNFBR. TNF alpha regulates immune cells, cell proliferation, differentiation, apoptosis, lipid metabolism, and coagulation.
It forms multimers of two to five noncovalently linked units and shows a single 17 kDa band under non-reducing SDS-PAGE conditions. Knockout studies in mice indicate neuroprotective functions, and TNF alpha induces tumor necrosis in tumor-bearing mice.
Additionally, TNF alpha participates in immune responses to bacterial, viral, parasitic, and fungal infections and contributes to tumor cell cytolysis in synergy with interferon-gamma. It is implicated in autoimmune diseases, insulin resistance, and cancer.
