Product Specific Information
The B20.1 monoclonal antibody reacts with mouse T-cell receptor (TCR) V alpha 2 chains. It recognizes the majority of the TCR V alpha 2 subfamily in mice carrying the a, b, and c haplotypes. This antibody also reacts with the products of T cell receptor V delta 8 due to high homology.
Applications Reported: Flow cytometric analysis.
Applications Tested: ≤ 0.125 µg per test (in 100 µL final volume).
Cell number should be empirically determined (10⁵–10⁸ cells/test).
Careful titration is recommended for optimal performance.
eFluor™ 450 is an alternative to Pacific Blue™. It emits at 445 nm and is excited with the violet laser (405 nm). Ensure your instrument can detect this fluorochrome.

Target Information
T cell receptors (TCR) discriminate foreign from self-peptides presented by MHC class II molecules, essential for adaptive immune response. Recognition of self-peptides is linked to autoimmune disease, while mutant self-peptides are associated with tumors. Superantigen engagement of TCRs can lead to toxic shock syndrome. Autoantibodies to TCR V beta segments have been found in rheumatoid arthritis and lupus patients, potentially modulating inflammatory responses. Most human T cells express TCR alpha-beta with CD4 or CD8; a small subset lacks both (double negative). Increased alpha-beta DN T cells have been observed in autoimmune and immunodeficiency disorders. Gamma-delta T cells, found mainly in epithelium, exhibit limited diversity and distinct antigen recognition, with subsets showing antitumor and immunoregulatory activity.
