Target Information
Zinc-finger proteins contain DNA-binding domains and play diverse roles in transcriptional activation or repression. Most zinc-finger proteins have a Kruppel-type DNA binding domain and a KRAB domain, which interacts with KAP1 to recruit histone-modifying proteins.
ZNF25 (Zinc finger protein 25), also known as Zinc finger protein KOX19, is a 456 amino acid nuclear protein containing one KRAB domain and twelve C2H2-type zinc fingers. The ZNF25 gene maps to human chromosome 10, a region associated with multiple endocrine neoplasia type 2A and 2B. Two isoforms are produced due to alternative splicing.
