Shown to bind to epitopes of sequences: LLHGDFHAFSAG-GGGC-NH2, LLHGDFH-GGGC-HN2, and FHAFSAG-GGGC-NH2, but showed no reactivity to live HeLa cells by IF.
Target Information
CD98 (4F2) is a type II transmembrane glycoprotein serving as the heavy chain of heterodimeric amino acid transporters (HATs). CD98, linked to various light chains by disulfide bond, mediates cell surface expression and basolateral localization of transporter complexes in polarized epithelial cells. It also interacts with β1 integrins, enhancing ligand affinity. Beyond amino acid transport, CD98 is involved in cell fusion, activation, and regulation of differentiation, growth, and apoptosis.
