Target Information
MEK1 (MAP Kinase Kinase, MKK로도 알려짐)은 세포 성장과 분화를 조절하는 MAP kinase cascade의 핵심 구성 요소입니다 (Ahn, 1993; Chong et al., 2003).
뇌에서는 이 경로가 시냅스 기능에도 중요한 역할을 합니다 (Adams and Sweatt, 2002).
활성화된 MEK1은 MAP kinase의 threonine과 tyrosine 잔기를 모두 인산화하는 dual specificity kinase로 작용합니다 (Kyriakis et al., 1991; Seger et al., 1991; Crews et al., 1992).
