Target Information
The SWI-SNF complex is involved in transcription activation through ATP-dependent nucleosome remodeling. Brm (SNF2α) and Brg-1 (SNF2β) serve as ATPase subunits, while Ini1 (SNF5), BAF155 (SRG3), and BAF170 form the functional core of the complex. Addition of Ini1, BAF155, and BAF170 enhances remodeling activity. Other subunits play regulatory roles. hSNF2L and hSNF2H are homologs of Drosophila ISWI, found in chromatin remodeling complexes such as NURF.
