Product Specific Information

1 µg/mL of MA5-45620 was sufficient for detection of AMIGO-1 in 20 µg of rat brain membrane lysate by colorimetric immunoblot using goat anti-mouse IgG:HRP as the secondary antibody. Detects approximately 60–80 kDa depending on maturity/glycosylation.
This antibody was formerly sold as clone S86-36.

Target Information

AMIGO1 promotes growth and fasciculation of neurites from cultured hippocampal neurons. It may be involved in fasciculation and myelination of developing neural axons, and play a role in regeneration and neural plasticity in the adult nervous system. It mediates cell-cell interactions and contributes to signal transduction through its intracellular domain. When assembled with KCNB1, it modulates the gating characteristics of the delayed rectifier voltage-dependent potassium channel KCNB1.
