Product Specific Information
The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity chromatography using an epitope-specific immunogen. The purity is greater than 95% as determined by SDS-PAGE.
Target Information
The NFU1 gene encodes a mitochondrial protein essential for iron-sulfur cluster biogenesis. This protein assembles and transfers 4Fe-4S clusters to target apoproteins such as succinate dehydrogenase and lipoic acid synthase. Mutations in NFU1 cause multiple mitochondrial dysfunctions syndrome-1. Pseudogenes are located on chromosomes 1 and 3. Multiple alternatively spliced transcript variants exist.
