Product Specific Information
The WM-15 monoclonal antibody reacts with human CD13 (aminopeptidase N), a transmembrane ectoenzyme expressed on monocytes and granulocytes but not on lymphocytes. CD13 is also found on endothelial and epithelial cells, fibroblasts, kidney proximal tubules, intestine, and placenta.
It functions in peptide degradation, amino acid scavenging, antigen processing, and cell adhesion/migration.
- Applications Reported: Flow cytometric analysis
- Applications Tested: Pre-titrated and tested by flow cytometry on lysed whole blood
- Recommended Use: 5 µL (0.25 µg) per 100 µL test volume
- Excitation: 488–561 nm
- Emission: 578 nm
- Compatible Lasers: Blue, Green, Yellow-Green
- Filtration: 0.2 µm post-manufacturing filtered
Target Information
CD13 (ANPEP) is a 150–170 kDa type II transmembrane zinc-binding ectopeptidase that catalyzes removal of neutral amino acids from small peptides. It plays roles in extracellular matrix degradation, antigen processing, signal transduction, inflammatory response, cell motility, and vascularization.
CD13 is expressed by granulocytes, monocytes, and myeloid leukemia cells, and is associated with protection against apoptosis and poor carcinoma prognosis. It also serves as an aminopeptidase enzyme and alpha receptor for coronavirus.
For Research Use Only. Not for use in diagnostic procedures. Not for resale without express authorization.
