Target Information
LYVE1 is a major receptor for hyaluronan (HA) on lymph vessel walls. It encodes a 322-residue type I integral membrane glycoprotein similar to CD44, containing a Link module responsible for HA binding.
LYVE1 is expressed on lymphatic vessel endothelium and plays a role in regulating leukocyte and tumor cell trafficking to lymph nodes. It serves as a specific marker for lymphatic vessels.
Diseases associated with LYVE1 dysfunction include Complete Androgen Insensitivity Syndrome.
