Product Specific Information
The monoclonal antibody OX104 recognizes human CD200 (OX2), a member of the Ig superfamily with two Ig domains, a transmembrane, and a cytoplasmic domain. CD200 is expressed on resting and activated B cells, subsets of T cells, keratinocytes, nerve cells, follicular dendritic cells, and ovarian cells. Interaction with CD200R modulates immune responses by attenuating macrophage activation and lymphocyte activation.
Each product includes:

Applications Reported: Flow cytometric analysis
Applications Tested: Flow cytometric analysis of normal human peripheral blood cells. Recommended ≤0.06 µg per test (100 µL final volume). Cell number: 10⁵–10⁸ cells/test. Optimize titration for best performance.
Important Notes:
- NovaFluor dyes are not compatible with DNA intercalating viability dyes (e.g., propidium iodide, 7-AAD, DAPI).
- Use Invitrogen LIVE/DEAD Fixable Dead Cell stains for viability analysis.
- Use CellBlox Plus Blocking Buffer (Cat. No. C001T06F01) for optimal staining. Add 5 µL per sample to antibody cocktails before combining with cells.
- For single-color controls: 5 µL per 100 µL of cell sample (10³–10⁸ cells).
Technology: NovaFluor conjugates use Phiton™ technology with engineered nucleic acid dye structures for optimized fluorescence spectra and minimized spillover.

Target Information
CD200 is a type-1 membrane glycoprotein belonging to the immunoglobulin superfamily, containing two Ig domains. It interacts with CD200R on myeloid cells to inhibit macrophage activation. CD200 homologs are found in herpesviruses and poxviruses. It regulates myeloid cell activity and provides inhibitory signals to macrophages. Dysregulation of CD200 is associated with diseases such as Mantle Cell Lymphoma and Primary Hypertrophic Osteoarthropathy.
