Product Specific Information
Store vial at -20°C prior to opening. Aliquot contents and freeze at -20°C or below for extended storage. Avoid cycles of freezing and thawing. Centrifuge product if not completely clear after standing at room temperature.
This product is stable for several weeks at 4°C as an undiluted liquid. Dilute only prior to immediate use.
This affinity-purified antibody is directed against human PTEN protein. Reactivity occurs against human PTEN protein.
BLAST analysis suggests cross-reactivity with PTEN proteins from mouse and dog sources based on 82% homology with the immunizing sequence. Reactivity against homologues from other sources is not known.
Target Information
PTENP1 represents a highly homologous processed pseudogene of PTEN (phosphatase and tensin homolog), a tumor suppressor protein that negatively regulates the AKT/PKB signaling pathway.
PTENP1 is located on chromosome 9 and regulates PTEN through both sense and antisense RNAs (Gene ID: 101243555).
This long non-coding RNA (lncRNA) acts as a decoy for PTEN-targeting microRNAs and exhibits tumor suppressive activity.
