Product Specific Information

The HIB19 monoclonal antibody reacts with human CD19, a 95 kDa transmembrane glycoprotein expressed on B cells throughout development except terminal plasma cells. It is also found on follicular dendritic cells. CD19 forms a multimolecular complex with CD21, CD81, Leu13, and MHC class II, which associates with the BCR to mediate signaling, phosphorylation, calcium flux, and proliferation in B cells.

Super Bright 600 is a tandem dye excited by the violet laser (405 nm) and emits at 600 nm. Use a 610/20 bandpass filter. Protect from light due to photo-induced oxidation sensitivity.

When using multiple Super Bright-conjugated antibodies, use Super Bright Complete Staining Buffer (Product # SB-4401) to minimize non-specific polymer interactions.

Fixation: Samples can be fixed using IC Fixation Buffer (Product # 00-8222) or 1-step Fix/Lyse Solution (Product # 00-5333) for up to 3 days at 4°C in the dark with minimal fluorescence loss.

Target Information

CD19 is a member of the immunoglobulin superfamily with two Ig-like domains. It is expressed on nearly all peripheral B cells and some myeloid leukemia cells. CD19 plays a critical role in B cell activation and signaling, acting as a co-receptor with the BCR to lower the activation threshold. Mutations in CD19 can lead to hypogammaglobulinemia, while overexpression may cause B cell hyperactivity. It is a key marker for B cell lineage and leukemia studies.
