Product Specific Information

The SJ25C1 monoclonal antibody reacts with human CD19, a 95 kDa transmembrane glycoprotein expressed on B cells throughout development except plasma cells. CD19 forms a complex with CD21, CD81, Leu13, and MHC class II, associating with the BCR to mediate signaling and proliferation.

• Applications Reported: Flow cytometric analysis
• Applications Tested: Pre-titrated and tested by flow cytometric analysis of normal human peripheral blood cells. Recommended 5 µL (0.5 µg) per test (100 µL final volume).
• Excitation/Emission: 405 nm / 600 nm (Violet Laser)
• Filter Recommendation: 610/20 bandpass filter
• Light Sensitivity: Protect from light to avoid photo-induced oxidation
• Fixation: Compatible with IC Fixation Buffer (Product #00-8222) or 1-step Fix/Lyse Solution (Product #00-5333) for up to 3 days at 2–8°C in dark
• Buffer Recommendation: Use Super Bright Complete Staining Buffer (Product #SB-4401) when multiple Super Bright dyes are used

Target Information

CD19 is an immunoglobulin superfamily member with two Ig-like domains, expressed on all peripheral B cells and some myeloid leukemia cells. It regulates B cell proliferation and differentiation, acting as a co-receptor with the BCR to amplify antigen signaling. CD19 mutations cause hypogammaglobulinemia, while overexpression leads to B cell hyperactivity.
