Target Information
Isocitrate dehydrogenases (IDH) catalyze the oxidative decarboxylation of isocitrate to 2-oxoglutarate. These enzymes are divided into NAD(+)- and NADP(+)-dependent subclasses. IDH1 is a NADP(+)-dependent isocitrate dehydrogenase localized mainly in the cytoplasm and peroxisomes, containing a PTS-1 peroxisomal targeting signal. It plays a crucial role in NADPH regeneration for peroxisomal and cytoplasmic metabolic reactions.
This antibody is specific for the IDH1 mutant R132H.
