- 83% identical in mouse and rat. No significant identity with LRRK1.
- 1 µg/mL of MA5-45646 was sufficient for detection of LRRK2/Dardarin in 20 µg of rat brain lysate by colorimetric immunoblot analysis using Goat anti-mouse IgG:HRP as the secondary antibody. Detects >200 kDa.
- This antibody was formerly sold as clone S138-6.
Target Information
LRRK2 is a multidomain protein that includes a kinase domain, a GTPase domain, and a leucine-rich repeat (LRR) domain. Mutations in LRRK2 have been associated with Parkinson’s disease.
LRRK2 belongs to the leucine-rich repeat kinase family and encodes a protein with ankyrin repeat, leucine-rich repeat, kinase, DFG-like motif, RAS, GTPase, MLK-like, and WD40 domains. The protein is primarily cytoplasmic but also associates with the mitochondrial outer membrane.
