- Reconstitute in 150 µL of sterile water.

Target Information
Glutathione peroxidases (Gpxs) are ubiquitously expressed enzymes that catalyze the reduction of hydrogen and organic peroxides by glutathione.
There are several isoforms differing in structure and localization:
- GPx1 (cGPx): Cytosolic/mitochondrial, selenium-dependent enzyme.
- GPx2 (GI-GPx): Expressed in gastrointestinal epithelium.
- GPx3 (pGPx): Extracellular plasma enzyme mainly expressed by the kidney and released into circulation.
- GPx4 (PH-GPx): Reduces hydroperoxides in membranes and lipoproteins.
All mammalian GPx family members, except for the cysteine-containing GPx3 and epididymis-specific GPx5, possess selenocysteine at the active site.
