The antigen is homologous in rat, mouse, and chicken.
Specificity: GGA3.
Target Information
This gene encodes a member of the Golgi-localized, gamma adaptin ear-containing, ARF-binding family. These coat proteins regulate trafficking of proteins between the trans-Golgi network and lysosome.
They share an amino-terminal VHS domain for mannose 6-phosphate receptor sorting and a carboxy-terminal region homologous to the ear domain of gamma-adaptins.
Multiple alternatively spliced transcript variants have been identified.
