Product Specific Information
This G3H69 monoclonal antibody reacts with human Granzyme K, one of five granzyme serine proteases identified in humans. These proteins are expressed in the granules of NK cells and cytotoxic T cells and play a crucial role in inducing apoptosis of target cells through cleavage of intracellular substrates.
Granzyme A and Granzyme K are both tryptases with overlapping substrate specificity. This functional similarity explains the minimal decrease in cytotoxicity of Granzyme A-deficient CTLs.

Used for intracellular staining followed by flow cytometric analysis.
Applications Tested:
Pre-titrated and tested for intracellular staining by flow cytometry. Recommended use: 5 µL (0.03 µg) per test (100 µL final volume, 10⁵–10⁸ cells/test).

Target Information
Granzyme K (GrK) is a trypsin-like serine protease found in cytotoxic granules of activated T cells and NK cells. It encodes a 28 kDa protease located on chromosome 5q11–12 near the granzyme A gene. GrK cleaves at basic residues (arginine, lysine) and induces rapid, caspase-independent cell death with single-stranded DNA nicks. Expression is highest in thymus, lung, spleen, and peripheral blood leukocytes.
