Target Information
RALBP1 specifically activates hydrolysis of GTP bound to RAC1 and CDC42 but not RALA.
It mediates ATP-dependent transport of S-(2,4-dinitrophenyl)-glutathione (DNP-SG) and doxorubicin (DOX), serving as the major ATP-dependent transporter of glutathione conjugates of electrophiles (GS-E) and DOX in erythrocytes.
RALBP1 also catalyzes transport of glutathione conjugates and xenobiotics, contributing to multidrug resistance.
Acts as a scaffold protein, assembling proteins for endocytotic complex formation during interphase and interacting with CDC2 to regulate endocytosis.
One of its substrates includes EPN1/Epsin.
