Target Information
The proto-oncogene PIM1 is upregulated in prostate cancer.
PIM1 belongs to the Serine/Threonine protein kinase family and is involved in signal transduction in blood cells.
It may affect chromatin structure or silencing by phosphorylating HP1 gamma/CBX3.
PIM1 is primarily expressed in cells of the hematopoietic and germ line lineages.
