Product Specific Information
MA5-17066 targets DCX in indirect ELISA, FACS, ICC, IHC, IF, and WB applications and shows reactivity with Human samples.
The immunogen is a purified recombinant fragment of human DCX (amino acids 362–411) expressed in E. coli.
MA5-17066 detects DCX, which has a predicted molecular weight of approximately 49.3 kDa.
Target Information
In the developing cortex, cortical neurons migrate over long distances to reach their final differentiation sites.
DCX is a cytoplasmic protein that directs neuronal migration by regulating microtubule organization and stability.
It contains two doublecortin domains that bind microtubules and interacts with LIS1, the regulatory gamma subunit of platelet activating factor acetylhydrolase.
This interaction is essential for proper microtubule function in the developing cortex.
Mutations in the DCX gene are associated with X-linked lissencephaly.
For Research Use Only. Not for use in diagnostic procedures. Not for resale without express authorization.
