Target Information
A-kinase anchor proteins (AKAPs) are structurally diverse proteins that bind to the regulatory subunit of protein kinase A, confining the holoenzyme to specific cellular locations.
This gene encodes a member of the AKAP family. Alternate splicing results in at least two isoforms localized to the centrosome and Golgi apparatus, interacting with multiple signaling proteins including type II protein kinase A, protein kinase N, protein phosphatases 1 and 2A, protein kinase C-epsilon, and phosphodiesterase 4D3.
