Target Information
ERCC1 is a non-catalytic component of a structure-specific DNA repair endonuclease responsible for the 5′ incision during DNA repair. It acts with SLX4 in the first step of interstrand cross-link repair and participates in processing DNA structures that can cause cytokinesis failure. ERCC1 also contributes to homology-directed repair (HDR) of DNA double-strand breaks.
