LMAN1은 소포체와 골지체 사이의 중간 영역에 위치하는 제1형 막관통 단백질로, 두 구획 사이를 순환하는 것으로 추정됩니다. 이 단백질은 만노스 특이적 렉틴으로서, 동물 세포의 분비 경로에 존재하는 식물 렉틴 상동체의 새로운 계열에 속합니다. 유전자 변이는 응고 결함과 관련이 있으며, 위치 클로닝을 통해 제5, 제8 응고 인자의 결핍을 초래하는 희귀한 상염색체 열성 질환의 원인 유전자로 확인되었습니다.
