Target Information
MLCK (MLCK2), also known as MYLK3, is a myosin regulatory light chain kinase facilitating muscle contraction. It phosphorylates myosin light chains, enabling actin-myosin interaction. MLCK is crucial for vascular permeability regulation, tissue edema formation, and neural signaling processes. It participates in fibroblast apoptosis signaling and is expressed in various adult and fetal tissues. The protein contains one fibronectin type III domain and nine immunoglobulin-like C2-type domains.
