Product Specific Information
Store vial at 4°C prior to restoration. For extended storage, aliquot and freeze at -20°C or below. Avoid freeze/thaw cycles. Centrifuge if not clear after standing at room temperature. Stable for several weeks at 4°C as an undiluted liquid. Dilute only before immediate use.
This antibody is directed against the FLAG™ epitope tag and is useful for detecting FLAG-tagged proteins in various assays. Recognizes FLAG™ tag (Asp-Tyr-Lys-Asp-Asp-Asp-Asp-Lys) fused to either the N- or C-terminus of target proteins in transfected or transformed cells.
Target Information
DYKDDDDK tag (FLAG tag) is a short peptide sequence used as a protein tag to facilitate purification, detection, and localization. It consists of eight amino acids: Asp-Tyr-Lys-Asp-Asp-Asp-Asp-Lys. Commonly fused to the N- or C-terminus of a protein, it allows easy identification and isolation using anti-FLAG antibodies. Widely applied in molecular biology and biochemistry for protein-protein interaction, expression, and localization studies. The FLAG tag is hydrophilic, minimizing interference with protein function. FLAG is a registered trademark of Merck KGaA, Darmstadt, Germany.
