Target Information
PSMD9 acts as a chaperone during assembly of the 26S proteasome, specifically the base subcomplex of the PA700/19S regulatory complex. It forms part of an intermediate PSMD9:PSMC6:PSMC3 module, known as the modulator trimer complex, and is released during further base assembly.
