• P130E targets IL-13 in ELISA and WB applications, showing reactivity with human samples.
• The immunogen is recombinant human IL-13.
• Detects IL-13 with a predicted molecular weight of approximately 13 kDa.
• Successfully paired as coating antibody in sandwich ELISA with detection antibody M130B (biotinylated clone 5A2).
  • Typical dilutions: 1 µg/mL for coating, 0.125–0.25 µg/mL for detection.

Target Information

IL-13 is an immunoregulatory cytokine produced primarily by activated Th2 cells.
It regulates inflammatory and immune responses by down-regulating macrophage activity and inhibiting pro-inflammatory cytokine and chemokine production.
IL-13 plays a role in allergen-induced asthma independent of IgE and eosinophils, and regulates B cell maturation, differentiation, and IgE isotype switching.
It also up-regulates CD23 and MHC class II expression.
Structurally, IL-13 is similar to IL-3, IL-4, IL-5, and GM-CSF.
The IL-13 gene is located on chromosome 5q within a cytokine gene cluster close to IL4.
